Sinking Chair is a floor installation of a sunken red Kopitiam chair and a pair of Tat Seng slippers.

SYNOPSIS

As familiar objects so ubiquitous as to go unnoticed, the sinking optical illusion is achieved by cutting the furniture at a calculated angle. The dismembered plastic sculpture then emphasises on its invisibility and ability to fade into the background, making one rethink their relationship with everyday items.
