Singapore Calendar: Labour Day is the second edition of OH! Open House’s Singapore Calendar — a seasonal art programme. We conceptualised the visual identity for the art experience.

SYNOPSIS
For Singapore Calendar: Labour Day, artist Liana Yang collaborates with DJ Robin Chua to investigate the ideas of labour and modern working life. Taking cues from the aesthetics of vaporwave and city pop, the key visual design takes on an 80s flair with a modern twist. The imagery of vintage office technology in a haphazard collage layering style as well as the flashy striped typeface in luminescent orange.
Elements such as a jigsaw, a lens and an origami ‘fortune teller’ have also been embedded as symbols of the three self-led quests leading up to the final show.

EXHIBITION ZINES
At the end of each self-led quest, the participant receives a zine designed by artist Liana Yang and DJ Robin Chua. These small publications, built off found magazine cut-outs and loud graphic treatment, were inspired by our branding guidelines and aesthetic.
