Multi-Touch is a series of three mechanical wooden sculptures that perpetuates the physical motions required to operate a touchscreen smartphone.

SYNOPSIS
Interactive sculptures simulating gestures of scroll, flick and pinch, extract the main navigational language between our fingers and the smartphone screen into analogue 3-dimensional forms.
A cog which flips the pages of a mini-newspaper when flicked, a scissor-like lever that magnifies the reading when pinched, and a pulley system which moves the article on a conveyor belt when scrolled. These gesture-driven artefacts serve as an objective cultural criticism of modern interface commands.
